Let’s start with your story — what first brought you to Yoga or Pilates?
As a surfer in my twenties yoga was the perfect fit for my lifestyle.
What inspired you to move from student to teacher?
To gain more knowledge & to go deeper into my practice.
Do you remember your first class teaching at Ritual?
Having practiced in the studio I felt very supported and comfortable in the space.
What does it feel like to guide a class from start to finish?
It’s a very heart warming experience & I always feel so grateful to be able to share my practice .
What’s something that keeps you grounded — especially on busy days or when energy is low?
Early morning sitting meditation. Sunrise over the ocean.
How do you find rhythm and balance between teaching, practicing, and life outside the studio?
Movement & sitting meditation or early morning yoga class. Beach & bush walks, bike riding, music, cooking, boating.
In what ways has teaching impacted you — both on and off the mat?
Yoga is very much a part of my life. Teaching has allowed me to share this practice & to be the best version of myself.
Is there a particular student interaction, class, or teaching moment that’s stayed with you?
Feeling the energy in the room become unified & peaceful.
What’s your favourite book or movie—and why?
Heart of the Buddha's teachings. (Thich nhat hanh)
Where do you turn for nourishment—whether it’s food, inspiration, knowledge, or self-care?
I don’t have any particular thing I turn to for nourishment but have a variety of things that I enjoy.
