Chase’s Journey into Holistic Strength and Stillness

Name

Chase

What inspired you to become a teacher?

Holistic wellbeing more specifically the connection of nervous system to fascia and muscle memory.

How would you describe your teacher style in three words?

Functional strength focused with a full body burn.

Do you have a favourite pose, exercise or principle to teach - and why?

Love using the candles technique to help students connect to their core.

What does your personal practice look like outside of the studio?

Love an outdoors movement practice! Inbetween classes i try to get a restorative session in and a pilates session.

What do you love to do when you're not teaching or practicing?

Sewing, further education into different avenues, cooking and SUPing

What's your favourite animal - and why?

Endemic flying foxes- they are one of the best forest regenerators and they are very endangered.

Are you a sunrise or sunset person?

Sunrise

What's your favourite drink?

Love a herbal infusion for winter and in summer give me all the mocktails to try

If you could have one super power what would it be and why?

Teleport just because it seems handy

What has your practice taught you about life?:

I love the saying train the body to tame the mind. You really start to notice when your mind wants to give up but your body is still capable and watching the body adapt under pressure is amazing and inspiring to take the practice of the mat or out of the studio.
