A note from Rose

Dear 2025 Yoga Teacher Trainees,

welcome to this work.

You are entering a path that is at once ancient and urgently relevant.

Yoga, in its truest form, is not merely a set of postures, a philosophy, a performance, or an escape. It is a sophisticated science of self-transformation—rooted in thousands of years of spiritual inquiry, philosophical depth, and disciplined practice. To engage in yoga is to commit to the path of self-study. In doing so, a natural process begins: a reordering of one’s life, a recalibration of priorities, and a deep refinement of perception.

This training is not merely a certification.
It is an initiation into a living tradition—one that calls for sincerity, perseverance, humility, and discernment.

You will be challenged—not only physically, but intellectually and ethically. You will study texts designed to interrupt habitual ways of thinking. You will engage in practices that invite you to meet reality not as you wish it to be, but as it actually is—moment by moment.

The path of yoga requires rigorous self-inquiry.
You will examine your thoughts, emotions, sensations, and patterns.
Through this process, you begin to explore the vast possibilities of human consciousness.

But this path is not without joy.
It is strong and sometimes demanding, yet as we go deeper, we begin to feel lighter, clearer, and more free.Through committed inquiry, we are met with unexpected gifts: deep compassion, genuine joy, an abiding sense of calm, and a growing ability to recognise beauty in the ordinary and the everyday.

Through yoga, we peel back the many layers of the self and learn to navigate the subtle terrains of body, mind, and energy—all in service of remembering our source in consciousness.

With consistent practice of yoga and meditation, clarity becomes possible—not as an abstract idea, but as a lived experience. The veils begin to lift. The process of inner freedom, so often spoken of in the great traditions, quietly begins.

Welcome to this work.
My deepest intention in offering this course is to share the essence of yoga with you—so that you may carry with you a steady and nourishing practice of asana, pranayama, and meditation throughout your life.

Beyond the mat, yoga invites us into the most enduring and essential inquiry:
“Who am I?”

This course will take you into that question and offer you the tools to explore it—for a lifetime.

With warmth and respect,
Rose Lamont

  • “I never knew how much could unfold from a YTT. Whether it is for a new beginning, to go deeper into what yoga means for you or to really just see where this practice can take you, this training had such an impact on my life that I never knew could happen. It was a journey that changed both my physical practice and the trajectory I have towards life and the experiences of everyday".

    - Ellen Mcdonald

  • "Taking my first YTT it was so much more dynamic and dimensional than I could have pictured. My training at Ritual really opened my eyes to how using these ancient yogic techniques and practices creates a life of more equanimity, joy, and inner radiance which naturally touches the lives of those around you. During this time of worldly turbulence I think cultivating these practice"

    - Misty Wilson

  • "I started this course with a very basic personal practise and minimal understanding of yoga history and philosophy. Rose, the Ritual team and the guest teachers created a well rounded course that balances practise and theory. I learned so much during this program, and I now feel more confident in my own practice and my ability to share it with others. It's been an incredible journey, and I recommend this course not only to anyone who wants to teach, but simply deepen their own understanding and practice of yoga".
