Sophie Spratt (Lamont), BSc (Biomedical Science), GDip Pilates

Sophie Spratt is a Pilates educator, teacher trainer and co-founder of Ritual Yoga & Pilates. She has been practicing the Pilates Method since the age of eighteen and has spent more than a decade immersed in the study, teaching and development of movement education.

With over 5,000 hours of professional training under the guidance of leading Australian and international Pilates educators, Sophie has developed a teaching approach that blends classical Pilates foundations with contemporary movement practices. Drawing on her background in biomedical science, she integrates anatomy, biomechanics and mindful movement to help students build strength, improve mobility and develop a deeper connection to their bodies.

Sophie is the lead facilitator of Ritual’s Pilates Matwork and Reformer Teacher Training programs and is the creator of the studio’s education curriculum, including training programs in Pilates Matwork, Reformer, Anatomy and Physiology, and Pre- and Post-Natal Pilates. Through these programs she mentors and educates the next generation of Pilates instructors, combining a strong understanding of the Pilates Method with a thoughtful and practical approach to movement education.

In 2015, Sophie co-founded Ritual Yoga & Pilates alongside her sister Rose, bringing their shared vision to life: a community-focused studio that integrates movement, philosophy and well-being. Since then, Ritual has grown into one of the Gold Coast’s most established Pilates communities.

A proud Gold Coast local and mother of three boys, Sophie continues to teach, mentor and write while contributing to the evolving landscape of Pilates education.
