Hatha yoga uses physical postures and breathing practices to achieve physical, mental and spiritual well-being. There are many different branches of Hatha yoga and at Ritual we practice a form of Hatha yoga called Vinyasa, meaning correct, purposeful placement of movement and breath.
The mental and physical benefits of yoga are endless, including skeletal, digestive, endocrine, respiratory, vascular, lymphatic and muscular health, to name a few. However yoga is more than simply a physical practice, each class incorporates a modern day approach to the ancient philosophical teachings of yoga, encouraging students to develop a strong inner practice of svadhyaya, meaning study of the self or self-reflection.
