As we begin the natural descent towards Winter, now is a time where our immune system is often compromised with the change of season and sickness in the body may occur.
In Traditional Chinese Medicine we can help to support and boost our immune systems naturally by supporting the Lungs & Large Intestine which are the organs that are physically and energetically associated with our immune system.
Learning how to nourish these energetic channels and organs in the body through long held poses and deep pranayama (breath-work) can help to eliminate any stagnation or blockages within the body that may be impeding the Qi flow or energy flow that maintains strong and healthy immunity.
Yin Yoga is a wonderful meditative practice that helps to soothe the nervous system, bringing us out of that state of stress which is also a contributing factor to illness and allows us to drop into a deeper space of connection and awareness within our body, heart and mind.
