YIN | Myofascial Release

Class style: A n opportunity to slow down, to pause, to breathe, to let go and reconnect our body, mind and heart as one in a space of stillness and peace.

What drew you to teaching:

I was experiencing the benefits that Yoga was having in my own life on every level - physically, mentally, emotionally, energetically and spiritually and I knew deep down inside that I had to share these ancient practices and teachings with anybody that was open to receiving them. By sharing these teachings I am able to help and be in service to others which is my true passion in this lifetime.

Favourite quote:

"Some changes look negative on the surface, but you will soon realise that space is being created in your life for something new to emerge" - Eckhart Tolle

My love for Yoga started in my early teens. I knew somewhere deep inside of me that I wanted to share this amazing gift of Yoga with others so I began my Teacher Training in 2014 learning the ancient techniques of Traditional Hatha Yoga.

Not long after graduating, I then found Yin Yoga and immediately fell in love with this style of practice. I hold this practice close to my heart as I find it deeply nourishing, relaxing and meditative. I also LOVE teaching Myofascial Release or more commonly known as Roll & Release (Trigger Point Therapy). By using massage balls in certain trigger points in the body you can gain a deeper release through the connective tissue and help to gain more freedom and longevity in the body's joints and tissues for everyday living.

A new practice that has recently come into my life is Qi Gong, an ancient Daoist practice. It is a wholistic system of self healing exercise and meditation that is continually evolving, and includes healing postures, movement, self massage, breathing techniques and meditation. Since starting my Yoga journey I have had the pleasure of teaching for the last 5 years at Ritual.
